Technical Manager

Royal Greenland A/S is seeking a Technical Manager.

Exciting managerial challenge - in Sisimiut.

As Technical Manager, you will be responsible for leading 15 employees in the technical department. Together, you will ensure that the technology and buildings, as well as vehicles in Sisimiut and in the villages of Sarfannguaq and Itilleq, are operated optimally and safely at all times.

You will report to the Factory Manager in Sisimiut, and you will be part of the management team at the factory.

Your primary tasks will be:

• Management of 15 employees in the technical department
• Planning of operations, coordination, as well as maintenance and operation of the factory's machines and facilities.
• Repair and maintenance of everything related to technical matters at the factories in Sisimiut, Sarfannguaq, and Itilleq.
• Ensure that factories and facilities comply with regulatory requirements.
• Be involved in documenting data in HACCP
• Be involved in projects across the company, and in close collaboration with the group's project managers.
• Responsible for investment and renovation projects – including managing and following up on operational and maintenance costs.
• Effective follow-up on budget compliance

• You are trained as a marine engineer, electrical installer, or similar.
• You have solid technical experience from the food industry, production, and management.
• Experience in working with KPIs, including defining goals and ensuring their implementation and follow-up.
• You are very independent.
• In the leadership role, you are competent and cooperative.
• You work analytically, structured, and with an overview.
• You make your choices based on facts and experience.
• You are ambitious on your own behalf and on behalf of the company.
• It is desirable that you can communicate in Greenlandic and Danish, and it is also essential that you can communicate fluently in English.
• You are highly experienced in refrigeration systems as well as plumbing systems.
