The Danish Consumer and Competition Authority is seeking 2 results-oriented and versatile lawyers for our Appeals Center.

The position involves legal case processing, guidance, teaching, legislative work, interdisciplinary collaboration, and coordinating functions. We are looking for a legal employee with case handling experience.

You need to be flexible, have a can-do attitude, show social commitment, and thrive on tasks where the solutions are not always predetermined. You should be able to understand new issues and contribute to finding solutions in complex cases – even when we haven't tried it before.

At the same time, you must be able to thrive in a busy everyday life with many tasks. This demands your ability to plan, structure, and prioritize, as well as being proactive and seeking out ways to ensure progress in your tasks.

There may be a possibility of employment as an Appeal Manager if your experience matches the requirements to be hired as a Chief Consultant, or you may potentially be hired as a Specialist Consultant depending on your experience.

About the job

You will have a central role in our Appeals Center, where you will be responsible for legal authority and development tasks. As the Appeals Manager, you will take on a coordinating role and set the direction for professionalism. As a caseworker, you will have a broad portfolio of tasks tailored to your interests and experience.

You must also be prepared to take on new tasks across the agency.

Your tasks will include, among other things:

  • Legal legislative work and collaboration with other authorities
  • Legal coordination
  • Case processing
  • Training
  • Project management and/or participation in projects
  • Cross-cutting coordination with other departments and authorities
  • General legal tasks

You have a Master's degree in Law (cand.jur.) and preferably experience with one or more of the following:

  • Experience from another case-handling authority
  • Insight into a politically governed organization and political decision-making processes
  • Interest in and preferably experience with projects, legislation, and case processing.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex issues clearly – both in writing and verbally.
  • Independent and solution-oriented approach with an overview of larger tasks and projects
  • Ability to work in a structured manner and shift focus as needed
  • Flexibility, thoroughness, and an analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Good communication skills in Danish and English
  • Ability to cut through
  • Good social skills

We are a public authority where law and economics are at the core of our work. We handle between 600 and 800 cases annually and also contribute to interdisciplinary projects and legislative work.

We are an ambitious and strategically working organization where collaboration, responsibility, and diversity are central values. We work in an environment characterized by trust, respect, and an informal tone.

We offer:

  • A position with great responsibility and the opportunity to make a real difference.
  • An attractive workplace with an informal tone characterized by respect and trust.
  • A versatile and exciting work area with both national and international focus.
  • A professionally strong environment where you are not alone as a lawyer.
