The Danish Consumer and Competition Authority is seeking 2 results-oriented and versatile lawyers for our business department.

The position involves legal advice, analysis, legislative work, and coordinating functions. We are looking for legal staff with case handling experience or experience from a politically governed organization.

You need to have determination, social engagement, and thrive on tasks where the solutions are not always given in advance. You should be able to understand new issues and help find solutions in complex cases – even when we haven't tried it before.

At the same time, you must be able to thrive in a busy everyday life with many tasks. This places demands on your ability to plan, structure, and prioritize, just as you need to be proactive and seek out ways to ensure progress in your tasks.

There may be a possibility of employment as a special or chief consultant depending on experience.

About the job

You will play a central role in the department for competition and procurement, where you will be responsible for legal authority and development tasks.

You must also be prepared to take on new tasks across the agency.

Your tasks will include:

  • Juridisk lovgivningsarbejde og sparring med andre myndigheder
  • Legal analyses – both short, operational analyses and larger, in-depth analyses in complex cases
  • Project management and/or participation in projects
  • Cross-cutting coordination with other departments and authorities
  • General legal tasks

You have a law degree (cand.jur. or cand.merc.jur.) and preferably experience with one or more of the following:

  • Experience from or insight into a politically governed organization and political decision-making processes
  • Interest in and preferably experience with projects, legislation, and case processing.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex issues clearly – both in writing and verbally.
  • Independent and solution-oriented approach with an overview of larger tasks and projects
  • Ability to work systematically and shift focus as needed
  • Flexibility, thoroughness, and analytical approach to problem-solving
  • Good communication skills in Danish and English
  • Ability to collaborate with many different stakeholders, including those with conflicting interests.

We are a public authority where law and economics are at the core of our work. We handle between 600 and 800 cases annually and also contribute to interdisciplinary projects and legislative work.

We are an ambitious and strategically working organization where collaboration, responsibility, and diversity are central values. We operate in an environment characterized by trust, respect, and an informal tone.

We offer:

  • A position with great responsibility and the opportunity to make a real difference.
  • An attractive workplace with an informal tone characterized by respect and trust.
  • A versatile and exciting work area with both national and international focus.
  • A professionally strong environment where you are not alone as a lawyer.
