Home Care Manager

The home care manager is responsible for the management of home care.

Your area of responsibility is servicing home care clients in the city. You are also responsible for managing the staff, home care assistants.

Area of responsibility: Daily management of staff as well as coordination of home care for clients according to the applicable guidelines, including making assessments and allocating the services to be provided to each individual client.

Participates in interdisciplinary meetings with the respective partners.

Our expectations of you:

-You organize your daily work routines yourself, and you must be the leading, guiding, and proactive in relation to the applicable guidelines in all areas.

-You should enjoy a busy workday.

-You should be the one who inspires the further development, design, and maintenance of good care and support traditions, taking into account the Greenlandic conditions.

-Has experience/education in management (not a requirement).

-Is trained as a health assistant, health helper.

Primary tasks / our expectations:

-Planning, development, evaluation of the overall home care coordination, care for elderly citizens in the city.

-Ongoing supervision of assessment and follow-up of the provided home care and support for each elderly citizen in the city.

-Ordering and administration of nursing supplies and aids (limited scope)

-Introduction and training of both new employees

-Teaching, supervision, staff development.

-Participates as needed in care and support tasks for individual clients in the city.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the negotiating organization.

Employment is subject to a satisfactory public criminal record.

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Housing:

No staff housing can be provided.
