Social Helper

Nuka Kindergarten in the Municipality of Sermersooq is seeking a skilled and committed Social Helper for Nuka Kindergarten, who can start work possibly by agreement. Nuka Kindergarten has a total of 40 children, aged 3-6 years, divided into 2 groups of 20 children each. Opening hours at Nuka: 7-17. Nuka Kindergarten consists of 9 staff members: Leader, deputy leader, educator, 2 social helpers, 2 assistants, kitchen assistant, and a cleaning assistant. Job responsibilities include taking responsibility and working independently when the educator is not present, being a role model for other staff, close collaboration with parents, and working according to Landstingsforordning no. 62, November 20, 2023. Tasks are solved in close collaboration with other staff members and relevant partners. Expectations for applicants: You have a Social Helper or similar education, are creative and have an overview, are good at collaborating with colleagues and parents, are flexible and willing to try new experiences, and love children is important. Criminal and Child Record: The position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal and child record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child records. Therefore, we must point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child record from the national police and the criminal record from the Police. The child record is obtained by the municipality with the individual's consent, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the Police. Salary and employment conditions: Salary and employment conditions are according to the current agreement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
