Academic staff 2 academic staff members with an interest in economics, law, communication, or labor market conditions

Do you want a meaningful job where you contribute to the development of key areas in society and work in a professionally strong and dedicated team of lawyers and economists? With us, you will have good opportunities for skill development and flexible working conditions. We focus on well-being, and you will have the chance to influence the development in the Consumer and Competition Authority, which manages 12 different socially important areas.

We do not expect you to know everything, and you will have the opportunity to shape tasks based on your interests and competencies. You will become part of a professional environment where we work individually and interdisciplinary for high legal security, societal benefit, and development.

Your possible work tasks

The position can combine independent case handling, analytical work, and cross-cutting projects. You may have the opportunity to work broadly and develop in several directions, including preparing analyses and decision proposals with economic, legal, and labor market professional elements.

Collect, assess, and structure data and document it. Write consultation responses, prepare notes, reports, and presentations for management, colleagues, and partners. There is also the opportunity to contribute to the drafting and quality assurance of rules, guidelines, and internal procedures.

You may also be interested in working with the communication of complex professional issues in a clear and accessible way. Creating texts for websites, press, publications, and stakeholders. You may get to work with communication strategy and target groups or contribute to internal knowledge sharing and the development of communication formats.

Other tasks may include analysis of labor market conditions, competitive conditions, and contributions to the assessment of regulation and framework conditions in the labor market. Dialogue with labor market stakeholders, organizations, and authorities. Monitoring of development trends and preparation of professional presentations on competition law themes.

It is expected that you are engaged and have a willingness to participate in projects across disciplines, and that you are open to taking on ad hoc tasks where you need to quickly familiarize yourself with new topics.

Your profile

You are flexible as a person and have a relevant master's degree, e.g., political science, law, economics, social sciences, or communication. You work in a structured, analytical manner with an eye for quality. You thrive in an environment with many stakeholders and varied tasks.

If you would like to work in a small organization with lots of humor, where no days are the same, please send us a motivated application with a description of yourself both personally and professionally.

There is the possibility of employment as an assistant or special consultant depending on your experience, and the start date will be agreed upon.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving, as well as relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Housing

No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
