The Department of Disability and Social Psychiatry is seeking a dedicated leader for the Kammagiit activity and respite center in Nuuk. The position involves managing approximately 15 employees and developing the facility. The target group is adults with physical-mental disabilities. The role is full-time with tasks such as scheduling and following up on residents' plans.

The Department of Disability and Social Psychiatry is seeking a new dedicated leader for the activity and respite center Kammagiit in Nuuk.

If you have experience in management and are passionate about making a difference for our citizens, you are exactly who we need as our new leader.

As a leader, you will have direct supervision of approximately 15 employees with different professional backgrounds; educators, health assistants, healthcare helpers, unskilled workers, etc. In the position, you will work with your employees to ensure operations, as well as develop the place and its users. The position is a full-time job of 40 hours a week, primarily during daytime hours. Some of your managerial tasks include, among other things; shift planning, conducting meetings, following up on the individual plans of the citizens, and contact with other partners.

In the activity and social offer Kammagiit, the target group is adults (18+) with a physical-mental disability. This means that the citizens have various diagnoses such as; autism, ADHD, mental retardation, schizophrenia, anxiety, etc. It varies whether the citizens come to the activity center daily or weekly. The respite center is a new offer for citizens with physical or mental disabilities. The location of the respite center is in Kammagiit Activity Center. The target group is citizens who temporarily need care in connection with relieving the relatives who provide a caregiving function.

About us:

The Disability and Social Psychiatry department for adults is a division that has eight housing units, five housing collectives, two activity and social offers, a respite care offer, and three support teams distributed in Nuuk, Tasiilaq, and Paamiut. We are undergoing a significant development that includes a focus on thorough introductions for new employees, ongoing sparring, and professional communities. Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
