Department of Licensing is seeking administrative profiles for the mineral resources sector in Greenland. Do you want to work at the intersection of politics, business, and natural resources – and help shape the future of the mineral resources sector in Greenland?

The Licensing Department is looking for one or more new colleagues to help manage and develop Greenland's raw material permits during a time of increasing international interest and activity.

You will become part of a small, professionally strong unit in Nuuk, where the pace is high, the tasks are varied, and where you will have independent responsibility from the start.

About us

The Department of Licensing is part of the Ministry of Business and Resources.

We manage approximately 140 raw material permits across all of Greenland – from small-scale activities to exploration and mining. At the same time, we continuously work on developing the frameworks for the area in line with new needs and political priorities.

We are a small team with diverse professional backgrounds, and we emphasize collaboration, flexibility, and an informal tone.

About the position

  • Contribution to the development of rules, conditions, and practices
  • Participation in the department's information work and communication

You will receive your own portfolio of raw material permits and become a central contact person for both companies, advisors, and authorities – in Greenland and internationally.

You will be working in an area with many considerations at play – political, environmental, and business – where your ability to create an overview and find balanced solutions is central.

Who are you?

  • We imagine that you: have experience with public administration and/or case processing
  • works in a structured manner and can maintain an overview in a varied task portfolio
  • is good at collaborating across disciplines
  • communicates clearly and professionally – both in writing and verbally
  • masters English at a high level
  • It is an advantage if you: have knowledge of the raw materials sector or license administration
  • has experience with journal systems or knowledge sharing systems
  • has knowledge of Greenlandic language and culture

Your educational background is not crucial – the most important thing is that you can handle the tasks and contribute to the community.

  • Therefore, you should choose us genuine influence in a developing area
  • a broad network of contacts both domestically and internationally
  • independent responsibility and short decision-making paths
  • insight into political processes and decisions
  • a varied everyday life in a small organization with great significance

You will become part of a workplace where we collaborate closely, help each other, and lift together.

Employment conditions

The working hours are 40 hours a week. The work pressure can vary, as the raw material sector is seasonal.
