Head of Nursery Meeraq in Paamiut

Nursery Meeraq accommodates 36 children aged 0-2 years, divided into 3 groups. Located in Paamiut, the institution comprises a team of 12 employees, including the leader.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

It is important to us that children experience a cohesive and secure daily life with positive relationships. Therefore, we expect you, as the leader, to help create the framework and support the institution's goals.

We expect our new leader to:

• Be a trained educator
• Be clear and visible, with a passion for pedagogical leadership, team collaboration, and professional development of staff

• Engage in pedagogical sparring and cooperation with other leaders in daycare institutions
• Be familiar with IT/computer operation
• Participate in administrative and financial management work

Criminal Record and Child Protection Certificate:

This position is subject to the law requiring a criminal record and child protection certificate. According to the law, employment can only commence once the municipality has received satisfactory certificates. Therefore, the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child protection certificate from the National Police and the criminal record from the Police.

The child protection certificate is obtained by the municipality with the individual's consent, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and Employment Conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the current agreement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will include a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

A staff housing may be provided for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc., are payable according to the current rules for rent payment in the Government of Greenland's and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing is not immediately available upon commencement, temporary housing will be offered to employees entitled to it, for which rent, utilities, etc., are payable as per the above. The start date depends on the availability of staff housing. Relocation travel and moving expenses are provided according to current rules.
