The Chairman's Department
The Chairman's Department has central coordinating and leading functions to provide the Chairman of the Government of Greenland with the best possible basis for ensuring cooperation within the Government, the central administration, and society. The Chairman's Department is organized into several divisions, where the newly established Department for Government Leadership is anchored under the Management Secretariat. It is a merger of two well-known units in the Chairman's Department: the Office for Government Coordination and the Board Secretariat.
About the position
The Department of Governance focuses heavily on ensuring coordination, progress, and implementation of highly prioritized political matters and other major projects and processes with political relevance that span across the organization. The department also ensures that the Naalakkersuisut can manage its ownership of the self-governing companies. In addition, the department contributes to cross-cutting policy development. With the right qualifications, the employee will play a central role in supporting and serving the head of department in the Chairman's Department in the work with prioritized matters and processes. In the Department of Governance, we are lacking AC executives/special consultants to both maintain a dynamic and strategic overview of the ongoing work of the Naalakkersuisut and to work on the ownership of the self-governing companies.

Your tasks will include:

To handle tasks related to the coordination of cross-cutting issues in the Naalakkersuisut.

To collaborate with the other departments on contributions to implement the Government of Greenland's political agendas, including the coalition agreement.

To support the work with political agreements.

To prepare a draft for a consultation response.
-
To prepare analyses, briefings, presentations, reports, etc. about the self-governing owned companies.

To implement and maintain a governance document for the self-governing owned companies.

To coordinate meetings, seminars, and other dialogue about the self-governing companies between the companies and the Naalakkersuisut.
You will be part of a small office with a large collaborative interface to the rest of the Chairman's Department and the other departments in the central administration.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving as well as moving belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
