We are seeking two dedicated youth advisors to enhance well-being and development for children, youth, and their families. The work involves counseling, relationship building, and preventive initiatives in close collaboration with families and partners. You should have a relevant social education and experience with youth and families.

The Center for Counseling and Family Treatment works to strengthen well-being and development in children, young people, and their families through counseling, family treatment, and targeted supportive interventions. We are a professionally strong center focused on early intervention, interdisciplinary collaboration, and holistic solutions.
About the position:
We are looking for two dedicated youth advisors who are passionate about making a difference for families and young people in need of support. As a youth advisor, you will be a central part of the department's work in developing and implementing initiatives that strengthen families' coping skills and support children's well-being. The work is based on a preventive and supportive approach and is carried out in close collaboration with families as well as internal and external partners.
Your tasks will include:
·Advice and support for young people and their families
·Relationship building and individually tailored programs
Early and preventive efforts for at-risk youth
·Interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration
Participation in network meetings and coordination of efforts
Documentation and follow-up in relevant systems
We expect that you:
·Has a relevant social professional education (e.g. social worker, social pedagogue, social work or equivalent)
·Has experience working with young people and families, preferably in a municipal or preventive context.
Can work holistically, structured, and independently.
Is strong in relationship work and can build trust.
Is strong in interdisciplinary collaboration
·Has good written and oral communication skills in Greenlandic and Danish
Works in a structured manner and can handle complex issues.
Thrives in a dynamic everyday life with both planned and urgent tasks.
Is mentally and physically robust and can maintain an overview and professionalism in a busy everyday life characterized by diverse and sometimes complex situations.
Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Criminal record and child certificate:
The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal record from the Police.
The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the Police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
