Together with a leader and 2 colleagues, you form an outreach team, where the main task is to be a mentor for young people who are - or at risk of becoming - homeless.
You are open-minded and empathetic, and have various experiences with the target group of vulnerable individuals with different social and psychological challenges.
We are looking for an employee who has social pedagogical experience and who is able to work with the target group based on the principles of "help for self-help." Our target group has various mental and social challenges and consists of young people up to 30 years old. You must be able to maintain an overview and ensure structure and calm in chaotic situations.
The project is based at Kofoed's School Nuuk, which is an independent institution that offers help for self-help to people in socially vulnerable positions. We provide an active, developing, and alcohol-free social network for all unemployed and vulnerable individuals who want to be part of a community where there is room for everyone.
Work tasks, including.
· Outreach work.
· Motivational conversations.
· Relationship work.
· Accompanying students as needed, as well as providing social support to address acute social challenges.
· Help young people concretely based on their situation, including starting education, work, housing if possible.
Prevention of homelessness among young people.
· Knowledge sharing and data collection about the target group.

· Experience in working with the target group of young people.
· Experience in pedagogical work with people in vulnerable positions.

· Educated as a pedagogue, social worker, or equivalent relevant education.
Necessary personal competencies
It is a great advantage if you have in-depth knowledge of Greenlandic language and culture.

Employment conditions, etc.
Employment from April 1, 2026 (or by further agreement) and running until December 31, 2026. The position is on average 40 hours per week. Working hours can be expected to be flexible based on what makes sense in relation to contact with the target group.
Employment in accordance with the agreement between the Government of Greenland and AK regarding the functional agreement for employees in the Greenland Self-Government and the Greenlandic municipalities or according to the agreement between the Government of Greenland and AK for social workers and caseworkers employed under the Self-Government and the Greenlandic municipalities.
Unfortunately, there is no possibility of providing housing in connection with the employment.
