About the job/family center:
The Family Center in Qeqqata Municipality primarily works with trauma following incidents such as sexual abuse, violence, neglect, and suicide. The task of the Family Center is to ensure that families are supported and helped to move forward after such incidents. In addition, the Family Center also has preventive initiatives, where the family is supported from pregnancy onwards. Currently, there are 4 environmental workers, 1 social educator, 2 home helpers, and the manager. To strengthen the Family Center's goal of being an interdisciplinary, treatment-oriented center, we are seeking a coordinator for family guidance for the team.
There are additional ongoing cases in the Family Center, where the children's house is in progress, the coordinator's primary tasks will be children and young people who have been subjected to sexual abuse or have been exposed to physical and psychological violence.
As a coordinator in the Family Center, your tasks will be:
We can offer the following:

Reception, assessment, and coordination of referrals from the Children and Family Department

Participation in open counseling.

Coordination of referrals to the Children's House and convocations

Coordination of police interrogations
-
Coordination, management, and preparation of minutes for the Case Council

Participation in police video interrogations

Preparation of minutes from video hearing

Preparation of recommendations for the caseworkers in the childcare center in collaboration with therapists.

Participation in ad hoc tasks

Educated as a social worker or further education in family counseling, or trained as a psychotherapist.

Is welcoming and has the ability to create a trusting relationship with those who come to the Family Center.

Appreciates an interdisciplinary collaborative environment where different perspectives come into play.

Able to work independently and in teams.

Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Salary and employment conditions
This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin once the Municipality has obtained a child certificate.
The child certificate will be part of the municipality's assessment of who is hired for the position.
Salary and employment conditions are primarily based on the agreement between the Government of Greenland (Greenland's Self-Government) and the negotiating organization.
Housing can be provided for the position, for which payment is made according to applicable regulations.
