Qasigiannguit is seeking an assistant manager for the residential unit Qajaasat, which is set up in 1 block with 6 apartments for 9 residents with mental/physical disabilities. The position requires a mature, independent, and creative person with experience as a social educator or social assistant. Responsibilities include supervision, development of the disability sector, and staff management.
The housing unit is arranged in 1 block with 6 apartments designated for 9 residents with mental/physical disabilities. Staffing is based on current resident needs, with permanent round-the-clock staffing in the housing units.
The leader refers to the leader of the residential facility and the municipality Qeqertalik Inuit leader. The residents in the protected living unit have a permanent need for the frameworks and routines that this type of housing offers.
The living unit handles professional/practical tasks, including supervision in connection with externally affiliated clientele/support personnel.
The position offers the right applicant significant opportunities to shape and develop the area as well as for personal growth.
The position is a pedagogical role. The position is desired to be filled by a mature, independent, reliable, and creative person who, based on a solid professional and practical experience as a social pedagogue or social assistant, will be able to:
Ensure the interests of both residents and external clients and create continuity and substance in each individual's daily life and development.

Perform all tasks associated with the position competently, purposefully, and efficiently.

Organize the staff's shifts and work distribution

Identify and take advantage of opportunities for the development of the disability sector as a whole.

Supervise, motivate, and unite the staff

Structure and implement the intended support person training.

Establish new activity offerings for the residents and external clientele.

Design and implement targeted individual action plans

Strength both the interdisciplinary collaboration and the clientele's network.
Qualifications:
Trained as a pedagogue or as a social assistant, or other relevant professional education.

Psychiatric experience.

Good collaboration skills and loyalty.

Knowledge of IT at user level.

Knowledge of budget planning.

Experience with personnel management.
Salary and employment conditions:
The working hours amount to 40 hours per week with the possibility of a shift arrangement similar to the other staff. Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
