We are looking for an employee for the Self-Government's canteen to start as soon as possible. You may have a background as a cook, catering and canteen assistant, or nutrition assistant.
About the job:
We are looking for an employee who can prepare high-quality healthy food. If you also want to try new recipes and help create exciting menus, you will have plenty of opportunities to showcase your personal skills and put your own stamp on your daily work. You will become part of a flexible team that focuses on continuously developing its healthy concept.
All work is during the daytime, and there is no evening or weekend work.

Your tasks: Your primary task will be to help prepare delicious and varied food for the canteen's breakfast buffet, lunch buffet, snacks, and take away, as well as catering for meetings, events, etc.

Deliver delicious food that is targeted at diabetics and people with lactose and gluten intolerance.

Idea generation and brainstorming about which dishes the cafeteria's many guests should enjoy.

We expect you to be: Independent, creative, and skilled with both feet on the ground.

Is cooperative, proactive, and responsible, and you see your tasks through to completion.

Is punctual and presentable

Has relevant professional education as a chef, economist, catering and cafeteria assistant, or nutrition assistant.

Has relevant experience – preferably from staff canteen and production of daily meals.

Has control over kitchen hygiene

It is an advantage that you are fluent in Greenlandic and Danish.

About the cafeteria:
The cafeteria, TAMU, is reserved for the staff of the Self-Government, as well as employees of the National Police and the Representation, and serves 150 users daily. The cafeteria has just been renovated and has reopened with an exciting new health-promoting buffet concept.
TAMU offers breakfast buffet, lunch buffet, snacks, and take away every weekday from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
TAMU serves high-quality food as well as good varied experiences for the canteen's users. This is ensured through tasty and appetizing meals that encourage healthy choices. The meals are freshly prepared from high-quality seasonal ingredients. The production is environmentally responsible with a focus on reducing food waste and using Greenlandic ingredients.
TAMU has a healthy food policy that accommodates users with allergens as well as gluten and lactose intolerance.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving as well as relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
No staff housing is allocated for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the allocated staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon the termination of the employment relationship.
