Greenland's University is seeking an AC Officer/Special Consultant for Communication and Internationalization. The position involves responsibility for internal and external communication as well as internationalization. You will report to the University Director and work closely with Ilisimatusarfik's staff and management. We are looking for a candidate with relevant experience and education.
Communication and Internationalization at Ilisimatusarfik is seeking an AC officer/special consultant with professional coordination responsibility. As the professional coordinator of communication and internationalization, you will be responsible for both internal and external communication as well as internationalization. You will report to the University Director.
The position is available for occupancy from May 1, 2026, or as soon as possible by agreement. The working hours are 40 hours per week.
Communication and Internationalization is a department with two employees, in addition to a professional coordinator. One is an AC officer who assists the professional coordinator with communication and internationalization tasks. The other is Ilisimatusarfik's own internal interpreter, who helps with written and oral translation and interpreting tasks.

Communication - areas of responsibility: Daily coordination of the Communications Office.

Professional coordination of employees' tasks.

Responsible for implementing the Ilisimatusarfik communication strategy.

Responsible for all operations regarding external communication (press, external partners, etc.).

Responsible for all operations regarding Ilisimatusarfik's websites.

Responsible for all operations regarding internal communication (newsletter, intranet, etc.).

Responsible for the preparation of all marketing materials.

Responsible for the preparation of all press materials.
-
Responsible for the operation of translation of written material - for both internal and external use.

Responsible for the operation of interpretation for students' oral exams.

Internationalization - areas of responsibility: Professional coordination of the International Office.

Responsible for implementing Ilisimatusarfik's international strategy.

Responsible for strengthening and further developing international partnerships.

Assist the Study Service with the application process for international guest students.

Responsible for strengthening Ilisimatusarfik's collaboration with other Greenlandic institutions on international matters.

Responsible for the establishment and development of national and international networks.

Responsible for managing relationships with external national and international partners and educational institutions.
The tasks for both Internationalization and Communication are carried out in close collaboration and dialogue with Ilisimatusarfik's employees, departments, institutes, and management.

We expect that you: That the applicant has at least 3 years of experience in professional coordination within communication if you are nominated for special consultant.

The applicant has at least 2 years of experience in communication if you are nominated for AC officer.

Has a relevant master's degree

Has experience working with websites, social media, and similar.

Has experience collaborating at all levels

Has good abilities to work independently and in a structured manner.

Master both Greenlandic, Danish, and English in writing and speech.

Knowledge of Greenlandic society
In addition, emphasis is placed on the applicant being approachable both in writing and in speech, as a professional coordinator has extensive daily contact and may represent Ilisimatusarfik in a professional manner in collaboration with the management.

About the Joint Administration
The Central Administration serves the entire university. It is led by the university director. The Central Administration has departments in Ilimmarfik and Ilinniarfissuaq. The departments work closely with the academic units, but also collaborate with each other. The tasks of the Central Administration include: student administration, personnel administration, servicing the board and the Academic Council, as well as other service functions for the university's staff and students. The Central Administration is also responsible for the building operations of Ilimmarfik.
Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving and relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
