The Chief Financial Officer should enjoy working with both large and small numbers and be ready for a transition process involving a new financial system and IT systems. The financial area includes the Payroll Office, Accounting Department, and Bookkeeping. We desire that the CFO prioritizes cross-functional and cohesive efforts in a flexible organization to ensure financial management and accounting understanding within the organization. The position is administratively located in Sisimiut and organizationally reports to the Director of Finance. Responsibilities include ensuring coordination and effective financial management for Qeqqata Kommunia, implementing a new public ERP and payroll system, developing long-term financial strategies, managing the professional administrative and leadership operations in the Finance Area, advising the management within the financial domain, preparing annual and quarterly reports for the Finance Committee and Municipal Council, being a member of the municipal management team, ensuring employee well-being and environment, and maintaining the budget within the allocation framework while coordinating presentations to the Finance Committee and participating in committee meetings. Qualifications: Relevant economic/administrative education, leadership experience in the public and/or private sector, ability to collaborate with employees, management, political level, and external partners, structured, analytical, and able to communicate clearly, open, positive, informal, enjoys humor, natural authority and dynamism, visible leader, good at collaboration and influencing surroundings, experience or willingness to develop the financial area, ability to work in a multicultural environment, experience with financial management and structuring, multilingual proficiency in Greenlandic, Danish, and English is preferred. Salary and employment conditions, including travel and relocation rights, are according to current agreements between Naalakkersuisut and your negotiating organization. Housing can be provided for the position, with payment according to current regulations. Criminal record: This position requires a criminal record check. Employment can only commence once the municipality has received the criminal record. Therefore, the start date can only be agreed upon once the record is received from the police.
