Tasks include video planning, social media publishing, and content production for the website. Experience with social media and graphic tools is an advantage.

Communications officer and social media manager for KTI Do you want to work with visual and creative communication on social media while contributing to strategic branding in the education sector? Do you thrive on creating engaging content – especially short videos – and would you like to be part of a vibrant educational institution in Sisimiut (with periods in Nuuk)? Then you might be the one we are looking for.

The Greenland Technical College (KTI) is Greenland's largest educational institution, offering vocational training, upper secondary education, and courses in close collaboration with both businesses and public authorities. We have great potential to become even more visible – especially on social media – and reach out to future students.

Your tasks

As a communications officer and social media manager, you will play a central role in planning and executing KTI's external communication across platforms and the website. You will work closely with management, educators, and students, actively contributing to strengthening KTI's brand in a Greenlandic educational and business context.

Your primary tasks will be:

  • Planning and coordination of short videos for branding and recruitment
  • Recording and editing of video content
  • Publishing and maintaining content on social media
  • Production of content for website
  • Contribute to corrections and further development of our upcoming new website (for candidates with interest and skills in the area)
  • Easier graphic tasks as well as coordination with external suppliers
  • Small ad-hoc tasks for communication with our partners and responding to practical-oriented emails to assist the principal.

You will have a wide contact surface with students, teachers, and staff. Therefore, we emphasize that you have a positive approach and thrive on creating relationships and networks. At the same time, we expect you to be able to work in a structured and independent manner with planning and execution.

You will become part of the staff and report to the principal.

Wishes for you

  • Experience with content production for social media – especially video (filming and editing) is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of social media (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok) and what engages different target groups.
  • Flair for visual communication and ability to translate ideas into concrete and engaging content.
  • Willing to learn new ways to produce content for social media and be trained by the principal.
  • Structured approach to planning and executing tasks
  • Independent and resourceful, but also a team player
  • Good collaboration skills and the ability to build relationships across the organization
  • Good written communication skills
  • You master both Greenlandic and Danish – and preferably English.
  • Experience with graphic tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe, or similar) is an advantage.
  • It is an advantage if you have experience with or interest in working with websites.

We offer

  • A versatile and independent position with significant influence on KTI's visibility and communication.
  • Opportunity to make your mark on the development of our social media and digital presence
  • A dynamic work environment with engaged colleagues
  • A daily life with great variation and many collaboration interfaces
  • Opportunity for professional development in communication, video, and digital platforms
