The department is part of the Pathway Coordination and is divided into 3 sections: Surgical Patient Coordination, Medical Patient Coordination, and Travel Coordination. The department consists of 9 patient coordinators, 6 travel coordinators, 2 master plan coordinators, and a coordinating department nurse.
In the Department of Patient Coordination, you will, in collaboration with the referring consultants, share responsibility for inviting patients as well as planning and coordinating daily treatment processes, projects, and specialists. It is your task to ensure that workflows, work organization, and resource consumption are planned, coordinated, and managed efficiently within the surgical field.

We expect that you:

Has a health professional education

Is professionally well-founded, preferably within the surgical field – but not a requirement.

Has an interest in the administrative field, including the organization of investigations and treatment processes, administration of referrals, and scheduling of patients.

Has insight into geographical conditions and infrastructure that influence patient pathways.

Has insight into the Greenlandic healthcare system
-
Want to make a difference and is passionate about ensuring patients have professional pathways.

Has a flair for IT, including our electronic patient record COSMIC.

Enjoy having a central role in an organization with a wide range of interdisciplinary partners.

Is adaptable, detail-oriented with a sharp eye for the whole, action-oriented, and has good collaboration skills.

Preferably bilingual, Greenlandic/Danish
The department's tasks include, among other things:

Summoning of surgical patients, as well as planning the entire treatment process for them.

Calling of patients from the coast and Nuuk
-
Calling patients for upcoming examination/treatment, as well as managing the waiting list.

Calling patients for projects, i.e., focused courses with a specific specialty.

Housing is allocated according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Health Service at any given time.
Salary and employment
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation travel and moving of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Citizenship
If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. A residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
