Night Watchman for Kammagiit Relief Center

The Department of Disability and Social Psychiatry in the Welfare and Labor Market Administration is seeking a night watchman for the Kammagiit Respite Center in Nuuk.

The respite center is an offer for citizens with physical or mental disabilities. The location of the respite center is in Kammagiit Activity Center. The target group is citizens who temporarily need care in connection with relieving the relatives who provide a caregiving function. As a starting point, there will be 4 respite places, and the duration of the respite can be from 1 to 4 days, depending on the need.

Your tasks:

Ensure good night rest in the house.

·Help the residents as needed

·Various practical tasks in the house

You have experience working with people, preferably in the field.

The Disability and Social Psychiatry department for adults is a section where there are eight housing units, five housing collectives, two activity and social offers, a therapy team, and three support teams distributed in Nuuk, Tasiilaq, and Paamiut. We are undergoing significant development that includes a focus on thorough onboarding of new employees, ongoing sparring, and professional communities.

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
