Night Watchman for the Respite Center

The Department of Disability and Social Psychiatry in the Administration for Welfare and Labor Market is seeking a night watchman for the Kammagiit Relief Center in Nuuk.

The respite center is an offer for citizens with physical or mental disabilities. The location of the respite center is in the Kammagiit Activity Center. The target group is citizens who temporarily need care in connection with relieving the relatives who provide a caregiving function. There will generally be 4 respite places, and the duration of the respite can be from 1 to 4 days, depending on the need.

Your tasks:

Ensure good night rest in the house.

·Help the residents as needed

·Various practical tasks in the house

You have experience working with people, preferably in the field.

The Disability and Social Psychiatry in the adult sector is a department where there are eight residential units, five housing collectives, two activity and social offers, a therapy team, and three support teams distributed in Nuuk, Tasiilaq, and Paamiut. We are undergoing significant development that includes a focus on thorough onboarding of new employees, ongoing support, and professional communities.

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
