The Disability and Social Psychiatry seeks an employee with a health professional background for Manngua 6 in Nuuk. The position is full-time with day, evening, and weekend shifts. You will work closely with colleagues to support residents with mental and physical disabilities in their development and self-sufficiency.
The Disability and Social Psychiatry is seeking a healthcare professional for Manngua 6. If you have your heart in the right place and want to make a difference for our residents, you are exactly the colleague we are looking for.
The position is a full-time job of 40 hours a week, with day, evening, and weekend shifts. You will work closely with your colleagues to support our residents in their development.
The residential unit Manngua 6 is one of the Disability and Social Psychiatry's residential units in Nuuk, and has residents aged 18 and older, with mental and physical disabilities. Your core task will be to help the residents develop their mental, physical, and social skills, so they can live as independently as possible. Together with your colleagues, you will support the residents in living as well and fulfilling a life as they wish. In addition to our 9 residents, the residential unit consists of 14 employees.
Your tasks:
To work on developing residents towards a higher degree of self-sufficiency and increased quality of life, including through work with residents with action plans.
To motivate and support the residents in everyday activities such as walks, shopping, cooking, and doctor visits.
To strengthen the community in the housing unit through collaboration with colleagues, leaders, and residents.
The tasks are carried out in close collaboration with the other employees and partners of the residential unit, including Ikaarsaarfik, SANA, the police, the criminal justice system, and caseworkers.

Is stable and adaptable in a busy everyday life
If you have experience in psychiatry, it is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

In this position, you will become part of a larger community: We are a department with eight living units, five living collectives, two activity and social offers, and three support teams distributed in Nuuk, Tasiilaq, and Paamiut.

Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
