Healthcare Assistant

The elderly home 'Luuvikasik' in Narsaq is seeking trained Healthcare Assistants to serve as department managers, starting February 1, 2026, or by agreement. Established in 1971 and expanded in 1980, the facility added new sections in 2021, now accommodating 31 residents in five departments. Staff includes Healthcare Assistants, Health Aides, Social and Health Helpers, kitchen staff, office workers, janitors, laundry assistants, and activity coordinators.

Requirements:

• Certified as a Healthcare Assistant
• Interest and dedication to elderly care
• Commitment to holistic care and activity planning
• Ability to collaborate, innovate, and engage in preventive care
• Responsible, reliable, and cooperative across teams
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Ensure quality care for department residents
• Leadership skills to manage department staff and operations
• Ability to collaborate closely with residents' families
• Liaison with healthcare facilities
