Assistant Manager

The Municipality of Sermersooq is seeking a skilled and dedicated assistant manager for Majoriaq Ittoqqortoormiit. The position involves registering job seekers, providing guidance and advice, as well as financial tasks. We expect you to have an office assistant education or experience in the field and be able to work independently. Bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage.

The Municipality of Sermersooq is seeking a skilled and dedicated assistant manager for Majoriaq Ittoqqortoormiit, who will primarily work part-time, approximately 40 hours a week, focusing on labor market, upskilling, and educational tasks.

Majoriaq Ittoqqortoormiit is rapidly developing according to current guidelines, so that the assistant must be able to work independently and purposefully in accordance with the objectives that have been initiated, and participate in the continuation of the ongoing development in all areas.

The position is placed under the Municipality of Sermersooq's administration for Welfare and Labor Market, Majoriaq Ittoqqortoormiit, where the center manager is the immediate supervisor.

The content of the position:

Registration of the unemployed

·Guidance and advice for job qualification and education seekers

Economic tasks, including the entry of job search services.

·Contribute to the collaboration with the business community and educational institutions

·To collaborate with the other departments in the municipality

·To participate in solving various ad hoc tasks

We expect:

·That you have an office assistant education or experience in the field

·That you have knowledge of the education and labor market area

That you have initiative and are inspiring to others.

·That you meet people at eye level and with respect while also being consistent.

·That you do not have substance abuse problems

·That you can participate in identifying wishes and needs in the labor market area

Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. Therefore, we must point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
