We are looking for an internship coordinator for KTI in Nuuk who can ensure quality internships for the future skilled workforce in Greenland. You will coordinate internship programs, collaborate with companies, and guide students. The position requires independence, structure, and strong IT skills. Internship Coordinator for KTI - Iron & Metal in Nuuk Do you want to help ensure good internships for the future skilled workers in Greenland?

Do you thrive in a role with many collaboration interfaces between students, companies, and educators? Then you might be the internship coordinator we are looking for at KTI in Nuuk.

As an internship coordinator, you will be a central part of the work to create good and coherent internship programs for students in our vocational education programs.

Your tasks

  • You will be a link between students, educators, and companies and will work, among other things, to: coordinate and manage internship programs for students.
  • collaboration with companies and internship sites regarding internships
  • guided students in connection with internships and internship applications
  • contribute to matching students and internship places
  • follow up on internship programs in dialogue with students, companies, and educators
  • strengthen the collaboration between the school and the business community through the preparation and maintenance of training place confirmations

Travel activity may occur in connection with contact to companies and internship locations.

  • We are looking for someone who works independently, is structured, and detail-oriented.
  • thrives on coordinating and collaborating with many different stakeholders
  • has good IT skills and is an experienced user of the Office suite
  • has good communication and formulation skills in both Greenlandic and Danish
  • would like to have knowledge of lectio, IT-rec, and the Greenlandic education system – but it is not a requirement

About KTI – Vocational School and Gymnasium

KTI – The Greenlandic Technical School is a modern and resourceful educational institution with approximately 150 employees. We have activities in Nuuk and Sisimiut and offer both vocational training and upper secondary education.

  • Within vocational education, KTI offers programs at: The Iron and Metal School
  • The School of Raw Materials
  • Construction and Engineering School
  • In addition, we offer language courses as well as upper secondary education: GUX
  • e-GUX
  • North Atlantic high school class

KTI also offers access courses for the engineering and marine engineering programs.

KTI has a collaboration with the Technical University of Denmark – DTU Arctic regarding two engineering programs and the execution of the marine engineering program Teknika.

In addition, KTI is responsible for the operation of student housing in Sisimiut.

The workplace is in Nuuk.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and departure travel and moving of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Housing

No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
