Allorfik Sermersooq is seeking a treatment coordinator for alcohol, cannabis, and gambling addiction treatment. The position involves receiving clients, initial interviews, and aftercare. Treatment Coordinator for Allorfik Sermersooq Allorfik Sermersooq is seeking a treatment coordinator to start on July 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Allorfik Sermersooq offers citizens in the Municipality of Sermersooq treatment for alcohol, cannabis, and gambling addiction. Currently, there are 6 therapists at the center. One of the therapists serves as the group leader.
Allorfik Sermersooq is organizationally under the Knowledge Center for Addiction in Nuuk, which is responsible for the national effort against issues related to substances and gambling.
The treatment at Allorfik is based on motivational interviewing and a cognitive behavioral therapy treatment model. If you are not trained in the field, Allorfik will provide your training and supervision. The treatment will primarily take place in Greenlandic, while the training will be conducted in Danish.
The task of the treatment coordinator is to welcome the citizens and ensure that the initial conversations as well as follow-up measures are conducted. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of Allorfik's treatment offerings.
As a treatment coordinator, you are also responsible for collecting and ensuring information about the follow-up after treatment.
You will have a great influence on the organization of your work in collaboration with the Knowledge Center for Addiction, which also offers supervision to you.

Visit new citizens for treatment in Allorfik

Motivate for treatment with Motivational Interviewing

Participate to a limited extent in treating and advising citizens with problems related to alcohol, cannabis, and gambling, as well as providing aftercare and educating relatives.

Conduct mapping interviews and report to the national substance abuse treatment database.

Collect and secure information after processing.

Collaboration with the municipality regarding citizens' aftercare and issues that hinder treatment.

In addition, it is an advantage if you have a supervision, psychotherapist education, or similar advanced training.

No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned staff housing is retained.
