GUX v./KTI - Seeking physical education teacher Physical education teacher wanted for GUX Sisimiut!

Would you like to teach physical education in Greenland? GUX Sisimiut is looking for a physical education teacher, preferably in combination with another subject from the Greenlandic curriculum.

Who are we?

GUX Sisimiut consists of the GUX high school, located in Sisimiut, access courses, eGUX with virtual teaching, and the North Atlantic High School Class (NGK), which rotates between Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, and Greenland.

GUX Sisimiut is also part of the educational organization KTI, which includes GUX, the Resource School, the Iron and Metal School, the Construction and Building School, the Language Center, DTU, and the Marine Engineering program.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving and relocation of household goods, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

For an applicant with the right verifiable competencies, employment as a special consultant, chief consultant, or senior advisor can occur in accordance with the applicable agreement.

Housing

An unfurnished staff housing can be assigned to the position according to the applicable rules at any given time. Housing cannot be assigned to individuals who already have staff housing or another property owned by the municipality or the Government of Greenland. Rent and deposit are paid according to the applicable rules for the assigned housing. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.

Rent and housing standards may vary depending on the age of the property, ownership conditions, etc. There may be a waiting period for the allocation of permanent staff housing, which is why temporary accommodation may occur, including in smaller co-housing communities or hotel apartments, for which taxation applies. It is not possible to keep larger pets such as dogs or cats in staff or temporary housing.
