The Municipality of Sermersooq is looking for a teacher for the school in Kapisillit for all subjects. We are seeking a positive, dedicated, and formally educated teacher who can engage in a development-oriented school environment and collaborate with colleagues, management, and parents.

The Municipality of Sermersooq is looking for a teacher for the municipal school in Kapisillit for all school subjects.

There are 2 students at school who are in the youngest and middle grades. With the help of iPads, some subjects are taught remotely from one of the city schools.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal record and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the national police as well as the criminal record from the police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

A staff housing can be provided for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the applicable rules for rent payments in the properties of the Greenland Self-Government and the municipality in Greenland. If a permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon taking up the position, employees entitled to a vacant housing will be offered a temporary vacant housing, for which rent, utilities, etc. will be paid in accordance with the above. The start date is dependent on when a staff housing is available. A relocation travel allowance and moving expenses for household goods are provided in accordance with applicable regulations.
