The Municipality of Sermersooq is seeking a skilled and dedicated psychologist for the Therapy and Treatment Department, CRF (Center for Counseling and Family Treatment).
CRF is a municipal service under the Administration for Children and Families that offers support and treatment to children, young people, and families.
At CRF, we work to strengthen well-being, development, and relationships – both for the child/young person and for the family as a whole. CRF's initiatives are always based on the individual family's needs and the goals agreed upon in collaboration with the family and, if applicable, the authorities.
CRF consists of professional staff with various competencies who work closely together to create holistic solutions. Emphasis is placed on a safe and respectful collaboration, where the family is actively involved.
The purpose of the work in CRF is to create positive and sustainable changes and support children, young people, and families in achieving better well-being and development.
The Department of Therapy and Treatment currently consists of 10 employees, distributed among psychologists and family psychotherapists. The position, which is a full-time position, reports to the department head.
About the position: We are looking for 2 psychologists / certified psychotherapists who want to make a real difference for children, young people, and families in vulnerable positions – and who will also actively contribute to a developing professional environment.
Your tasks will include, among other things:
Individual and group-based therapy sessions for children, adolescents, and parents
Family therapy and parental guidance
·Psychological assessments
Preparation of treatment plans and documentation
·Interdisciplinary collaboration and participation in meetings with authorities
Active participation in professional development and knowledge sharing within the team.
The tasks are carried out in close collaboration with the department leader and other employees.
Expectations for applicants:
·Is a trained psychologist (cand.psych.) or certified psychotherapist
Has experience with therapeutic work with children, adolescents, and families.
Works in a structured manner and can maintain an overview in complex cases.
Has strong collaboration skills and builds trusting relationships.
Can work independently and take clear professional responsibility.
Has experience with both treatment tasks and documentation.
Is flexible and can navigate complex issues.
Meets people with empathy, respect, and a professional view of humanity.

·Speaks Greenlandic and Danish (an advantage, but not a requirement)

Criminal Record and Child Certificate:
This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal record and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police and the criminal record from the Police.
The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
