Do you want to help develop psychiatric nursing in Greenland? Psychiatric Department at Queen Ingrid's Hospital, Nuuk is seeking a development and education responsible nurse starting March 1, 2026, or by agreement. The psychiatry department assesses and treats citizens from all over Greenland both outpatient, elective, or emergency.

The psychiatric department at Queen Ingrid's Hospital, Nuuk is seeking a development and education responsible nurse from March 1, 2026, or by agreement.

The psychiatric area consists of the psychiatric outpatient clinic, psychiatric ward A1, and Ikaarsaarfik.

The psychiatry assesses and treats citizens from all over Greenland, both outpatient, elective, or emergency.

The new psychiatric building of the psychiatric area (New Psychiatry) is expected to be completed in 2027.

The psychiatry receives students and pupils for internships.

In your daily work, you will refer to the Area Management and have a close collaboration with the middle managers in the area as well as clinical and practical supervisors regarding the education of students and trainees.

We are looking for you who:

  • Is a registered nurse
  • Has further education at the specialist/master's or graduate level
  • Preferably has experience from employment in psychiatry.
  • Preferably has experience with development tasks.
  • Has engagement, will, and can take initiative and responsibility for professional development.
  • Focuses on developing a work environment where motivation, professionalism, well-being, and safety make everyday life and the work environment more predictable.

Housing

Housing is allocated according to the rules in the Greenlandic Health Service that are in effect at any given time.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation travel and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Citizenship

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional upon a valid residence and work permit. A residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
