A Student Residence Manager is sought for Nanortalik, responsible for the student residence and collaboration with the school. The position requires 30 hours of work per week and involves close contact with students and parents. There will be a focus on the well-being and development of the students.
Student Residence Manager:
We are seeking a new Student Residence Manager for Nanortalik, to start on February 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Responsibilities:
The manager will be responsible for the entire operation of the student residence.
The student residence has space for 30 students, with six currently residing there.
The manager will oversee the staff and manage daily operations.
The manager will be responsible for the financial management of the student residence and accountable to the school.
The manager will be responsible for collaboration with the school, parents, and social services, ensuring that students have the best and most responsible living conditions.
The manager will report directly to the principal and deputy principal of Nanortalik School.
Qualifications:
A background in Social Work, Pedagogy, or Social Counseling is required.
We are looking for a manager who can:

Collaborate with other staff and the school principal to create a safe and supportive living environment for students.

Possess skills in management, guidance, and mentoring of other staff.

Have strong collaboration skills.
Child Protection Certificate:
This position is subject to the regulations on obtaining a child protection certificate. Employment can only commence after the municipality receives the certificate.
The child protection certificate will be part of the municipality's assessment of the candidate.
Terms of Employment:
Salary and employment conditions will be according to agreements between the government and the employee's union.
Relocation:
The employee and their family will be reimbursed for relocation expenses, including moving their belongings.
Housing:
The employee will be offered housing according to agreements. However, a waiting period may be expected, during which temporary housing will be provided and taxed according to regulations.
