As a lawyer in the Housing and Property area, you will work with legislation and political support, developing and managing the frameworks for housing in Greenland. You will participate in legislative preparation and updates of housing laws in close collaboration with the office's other employees.

Lawyer for Housing and Property - Legislation and Political Service

Would you like to work with legislation and political service in an area of great importance for citizens' everyday lives and the development of society? As a lawyer in the Housing and Property sector, you will be part of the work to develop and manage the frameworks for the housing sector in Greenland.

The Housing and Property area is placed under the Construction Department in the Ministry of Housing, Infrastructure, Outlying Districts, and Emergency Management. The office has a busy everyday life with a wide range of tasks.

The Housing and Property area manages the Self-Government's ownership role, both in terms of buying and selling properties as well as handling the Self-Government's housing stock. This includes, among other things, agreements and daily dialogue with INI A/S regarding the administration and operation of the Self-Government's housing stock and the finances of housing departments. We also manage the Self-Government's ownership shares in housing associations, cooperative housing, etc.

As a lawyer, you will work with legal case processing and contribute to the preparation of notes and decision-making basis for the political system. You will be involved in the legislative preparation work and contribute to updating housing legislation in close collaboration with the office's other employees.
