Assistant for the Nuka Daycare Center

Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq is seeking a skilled and dedicated assistant for the Nuka Daycare Center, starting by agreement. The center accommodates 40 children, with 20 in each room, aged 3-6 years. Opening hours: 7:00 AM-5:00 PM. Staff per room: Deputy manager, educator, trained educator or similar, social assistant, and an assistant. A kitchen assistant, a cleaning assistant, and a manager. Responsibilities include participating in nursery rooms and work areas with duties such as taking full responsibility in the absence of educators, being open and engaged, acting as a role model, collaborating closely with users, and working according to Inatsisartut Act No. 62, of November 20, 2023. Tasks are developed with other staff and parents. The center focuses on health, daily outdoor activities, healthy diet, exercise, and Kammagiitta. Special focus on preschool children with monthly joint activities involving children, staff, and parents. Expectations: willingness to work, active task execution, collaboration skills, creativity, and presence with children. Emphasis on stability, good values, multitasking, joy, and equal collaboration. Salary and employment conditions follow the current agreement between Greenland's Self-Government and the relevant negotiating organization, with a three-month probation period.
