About the nursing home in Tasiilaq:

The nursing home has space for 16 residents. There are about 30 employees at the nursing home, the staff consists of a manager and an assistant manager, health assistants, health aides, cafeteria assistants, childminders, cleaning assistants, caretakers, and unskilled staff.

Job content:

We are looking for a health assistant or similar to join the work of providing present and caring support for the elderly. Good care and support are our absolute top priority, and it requires that we develop the framework for good care and have an eye for sharp solutions. In this development process, you will play a significant role in collaboration with the manager and other colleagues.

We expect that you, in collaboration with the manager, will take on the task of educating and developing the unskilled staff with the aim of improving the residents' well-being.

The nursing home is in a development process where we focus on competence development, job satisfaction, and stability. We believe that it has a positive effect on the well-being of both residents and employees.

The position reports to the daily management of the nursing home.

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland or another relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

Accommodation can be provided for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the applicable rules for rent payments in the properties of the Government of Greenland and the municipality in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, temporary staff housing will be offered to employees entitled to vacation housing, for which rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the above. The start date is dependent on when a staff housing is available. A relocation travel and moving expenses will be provided according to applicable rules.
