Then you might be our parental leave substitute in the Department for Development, Health Promotion, and Prevention.

About the position:

We are looking for a parental leave substitute for the position of health and prevention consultant. You will be part of a department that works purposefully to strengthen well-being, learning, and development among children and young people in the Municipality of Sermersooq.

As a health and prevention consultant, you will support the child-focused staff in their health-promoting and preventive work. The initiatives are broad and include, among other things:

∙Mental health

∙Prevention of bullying

∙Sexual health

∙Nutrition and exercise

∙Substance abuse prevention

You will closely collaborate with schools, daycare centers, and clubs to plan and implement teaching, presentations, and development processes based on local needs.

The position may involve travel to the municipality's towns and settlements.

Your tasks:

∙Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching, processes, and activities

∙Ensure that initiatives are based on needs, data, research, and the administration's goals

∙Collaborate with relevant partners (e.g., police, Paarisa, health services, and correctional services)

∙Communicate knowledge to both professionals, children, young people, and parents

About you:

∙3 health and prevention consultants

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal and child certificate. We must therefore emphasize that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police and the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
