AKO Qajaasat is looking for a pedagogue

AKO Qajaasat is set up for 135 children aged 6-9 years. There are 5 rooms and an aula. We have 17 employees.

We are located near nature which we use extensively in spring, summer, autumn, and winter. We often go to the beach in summer and out in nature. We go skiing in winter, the children and staff use the ski lift frequently.

We make plans for activities for the children every month, just as we also plan the afternoon snacks for the children.

All employees at AKO Qajaasat are at Kangillinnguit Atuarfiat from 08:00 - 11:30 where the purpose is for the teachers and staff at AKO to collaborate with the child at the center in order to find the right collaboration method. We need to work together to ensure that the children gain self-confidence, while we also find it essential that the child sees themselves as valuable.

The staff at AKO Qajaasat find it important that the institution is a safe place for children, parents, and staff.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police and the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/contract in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
