AKO Neriusaaq is looking for a leader for their childcare program for children in 1st to 3rd grade after school. AKO Neriusaaq is a childcare offer for children in grades 1 - 3 after school hours - In Neriusaaq is normed for 100 children aged 6 – 9 years.
The staffing norm is in AKO Neriusaaq 13 staff members including: Leader, Deputy, educators, child and social assistants, and helpers.
AKO Neriusaaq is open from 07:00 to 17:00 and is located next to the school "Atuarfik Nuussuup Atuarfia" in Nuussuaq.
AKO Neriusaaq employees are required to participate during the school's teaching, such participation occurs at most 2 times a week and about 4 hours, according to the children's needs. The purpose is to improve the child's well-being during teaching and that is the task of the AKO employees.
The leader together with the deputy must create the institution's personnel policy with the involvement of the staff.
It is important to build a healthy and developing institution for all users. Therefore, the working environment is highly valued, including skilled and stable employees.
For the position, it is required that you are a professionally proud educator - open and active in pedagogical discussions and that you have a natural desire to work with children. You have a professional approach to your work, are accommodating and adaptable, and you are aware that you have a significant influence on the staff group and your behavior is exemplary.
As a leader, you are responsible for development in all rooms and therefore have advisory and guidance tasks for the rest of the staff group in school care.

The leader is a sparring partner with the deputy and together must ensure compliance with the overall goals and objectives as well as guidelines for the pedagogical work carried out in practice.
The leader is part of the staffing norm and carries out the general pedagogical work with parent cooperation, developing action plans/activities

Areas of responsibility:
·That you as a leader follow the political frameworks
·That you are obligated to comply with the institution's budget
·That you have authority for the aforementioned units' funding area
·That you in collaboration with users, staff, and parents develop objectives, action plans, and activity plans
Pedagogical work area:
·That you in close collaboration with the institution's management implement the law and guidelines for the pedagogical work
·That you ensure the after-school program's pedagogical annual plan and values are implemented in practice
·That you participate or guide in solving collaboration problems between staff and parents
Administrative work area:
·Daily operation of the institution
·Ensure proper staff coverage in relation to staffing
·Hold meetings with staff, users, and parents
·Ensure to keep attendance records for each day for all users

Criminal and Child Certificate:
The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal certificate from the Police.
The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/contract in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
