The regional hospital in Sisimiut is looking for a healthcare assistant for a permanent position in the ward starting from November 15, 2026. The position involves working with patients of all ages as well as teaching nursing students. A thorough introduction and good colleague support are offered.

We are looking for a healthcare assistant for the inpatient department at the regional hospital Sisimiut

At the regional hospital Sisimiut in the inpatient department, there is one vacant position as a healthcare assistant to be filled from November 15, 2026, as a permanent employee.

The position is primarily in the inpatient department, where there is room for 19 hospitalized patients and with various professional groups as colleagues in the care team. Here we receive patients from infants to the elderly.

The work also includes a teaching/pedagogical function as the regional hospital has nursing students and healthcare assistant trainees throughout the year.

You will work every third weekend. In addition, one must also expect to assist other departments as needed and that one has some on-call duties from home during weekdays and weekends.

You will receive an introduction to working in the consultation/emergency room during weekdays, as one participates in the triage of patients during acute inquiries in the shifts.

The regional hospital Sisimiut has about 85 employees and 19 beds and functions as a combination of a medical practice and emergency room with the possibility of admissions. We also have a well-functioning primary sector department.

Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic healthcare system at any given time.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Citizenship

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. Residence and work permits can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
