The National Dental Service is looking for a dedicated and professionally well-founded clinical dental technician for our dental technical function. We also encourage laboratory dental technicians with an interest in clinical work and patient contact to apply for the position.

As a clinical dental technician, you will be an important part of the dental professional collaboration and contribute to ensuring high-quality dental technical solutions for patients across the country. You will have a varied daily routine with both patient treatment, laboratory work, and close collaboration with dentists and other colleagues.

We are looking for you who

  • Are a trained clinical dental technician.
  • Alternatively, are a trained laboratory dental technician and have an interest in or experience with clinical work.
  • Work independently, structured, and quality-conscious.
  • Have experience with or interest in the production, repair, and maintenance of prostheses.
  • Have knowledge of modern dental technical materials and working methods.
  • Have good collaboration skills and thrive in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Are responsible, flexible, and service-oriented with good collaboration skills.
  • Thrive with independent responsibility and have the ability to think solution-oriented. You are creative in your approach to tasks and are able to adapt to different working conditions and local circumstances.

Your tasks include, among others:

Clinical tasks

  • Examination, assessment, and treatment of prosthetic patients within the applicable area of competence.
  • Taking impressions, recording jaw relationships, and color selection.
  • Testing, adjusting, and inserting full and partial dentures.
  • Control, adjustment, and maintenance of prostheses.
  • Guidance of patients on the use and maintenance of prostheses.
  • Collaboration with dentists and other practitioners on patient courses.

Dental technical production

  • Production of full and partial dentures.
  • Repair, rebasing, and maintenance of prostheses.
  • Production of bite splints and individual trays.
  • Production of study, working, and presentation models.
  • Other dental technical work within the area of competence.

Laboratory work

  • Receiving and checking impressions and work instructions.
  • Casting, processing, and finishing models.
  • Working with acrylic, plastic, and other dental technical materials.
  • Quality assurance of the produced work.
  • Maintenance of laboratory equipment.

Professional advice and collaboration

  • Participation in testing and assessment of dental technical work.
  • Professional sparring and advice to colleagues on dental technical solutions.
  • Contributing to the development and quality assurance of the National Dental Service's dental technical offerings.
  • You are responsible for managing the dental technical inventory as well as ordering and maintaining relevant materials and goods.

The National Dental Service is a unit with a broad geographical spread and dental clinics in 16 districts. We emphasize high professional quality, interdisciplinary collaboration, and stable patient courses.

We work purposefully to ensure a high level of service and good treatment options for patients across Greenland.

Housing

Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Health Service at any given time.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Citizenship

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. A residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
