Description of Sikkersoq:

Sikkersoq is an integrated institution with 64 children divided into 4 rooms, 24 nursery children and 40 kindergarten children. The staffing is 3 employees for each room.
The institution is located in Nuussuaq close to Kangillinguup Atuarfia and in a quiet environment.
It is 40 weekly working hours from 7:30 AM to 3:50 PM. Sikkersoq is open during daytime hours between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

The department currently consists of 15 employees: Leader, Deputy Leader, educators, social workers, assistants, kitchen assistant, and a floater.

The position, which is a full-time position, reports to the Institution Leader at Sikkersoq.

We expect you to be:

∙Trained kitchen assistant or have an equivalent education
∙Good at planning (meal plans and tasks)
∙Stable and good collaboration skills
∙Able to work independently

∙Able to prepare nutritious and varied food for children aged 0 to 6 years
∙Knowledgeable about food for allergic children

∙Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement

Criminal and Child Certificate:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore emphasize that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police and the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and Employment Conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/contract in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
