The leisure club “Amisut” is seeking a pedagogue or someone with another relevant social professional background.

A position as an employee in the leisure club for children and youth Amisut in Qeqqata Municipality is available.

The leisure club is a day center for children and youth from 2nd grade to 13-14 years old. In the evening, the place functions as a leisure club for young people aged 14 to 21 years.

You could be the stable colleague we are looking for, who is eager to work with children and youth.

The tasks will include:

• Participating in the design of the leisure club as well as in the handling of pedagogical tasks.
• Designing initiatives in the form of events in collaboration with children and youth in Greenland based on the association "Sukorseq".
• Collaborating and developing new initiatives to find inspiration to make the leisure club an attractive place for children and youth.
• An employee who can organize handicraft activities for children and youth.
• An employee who can take evening shifts as needed.
• Organizing activities after school in specific rooms.
• In the summer, nature is utilized a lot.

We expect that you:

• Are a trained pedagogue or have another relevant social professional education.
• Have experience with and have worked with people or similar.
• Are eager to work with children and youth, be respectful, and can carry out various handicraft activities.
• You can work independently, initiate initiatives, have willpower and overview.
• You are flexible regarding different tasks and working hours.
• You are cooperative, possess good skills, have a positive attitude, arrive on time, and have the strength to handle challenges.
• You are quick to learn and flexible to work variably.
• You work appreciatively and understandingly and have the ability to set clear boundaries.
• Receptive to new ideas/opinions.
• We are often outside with the children in all kinds of weather, and therefore we expect you to be both physically and mentally strong.

The opening hours for Amisut are as follows:

Monday - Thursday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM for children

Monday - Thursday 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM for youth

Friday - Saturday 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM for children

Friday - Saturday 8:00 PM – 12:00 AM for youth

Salary and employment conditions.

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreements between the Self-Government, S.I.K, and N.P.K.

Housing

Housing can be provided.

Employment starts on October 1, 2026, or by agreement.
