We are looking for an AC-Fullmagt or Administration Bachelor with a focus on management support, efficiency, and development of the Operations and Intensive area at Queen Ingrid's Hospital.

The Operations and Intensive area at Queen Ingrid's Hospital in Nuuk is seeking an analytical, independent, and proactive AC-Fullmagt or Administration Bachelor who thrives with responsibility and is passionate about achieving results in an engaged and interdisciplinary environment. As an AC-Fullmagt or Administration Bachelor in the Operations and Intensive area, you will play a central role in our management team and have a unique opportunity to make a difference and create value for both colleagues and patients. You will be part of a management team where your collaboration will primarily be with the Chief Nurse and Chief Physician, and secondarily with our skilled management team; consisting of an administrative secretary and four department nurses from our four departments: Surgery, Anesthesia, Intensive Care, and Intermediate Monitoring Section.

The management team works with coordination, quality development, monitoring, and optimization of daily operations. Therefore, we are looking for a person with strategic insight, strong communication skills, and an ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships across professional fields.

YOUR TASKS AND AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Management support
  • Project leader for various projects, as well as quality assurance of implementations.
  • Contribute to creating structure and overview
  • Communication tasks, such as informational materials and newsletters
  • Preparation/updates of annual plans.
  • Updating various statistics, as well as developing new ones
  • Function as a secretary, facilitate and prepare for meetings, answer phone calls, and review emails in the absence of area management
  • Preparation, onboarding, and planning of introductions for consultants and all positions in the area's four departments
  • Draft job postings, invitations to theme days, training, anniversaries, etc.
  • Strengthen interdisciplinary and inter-organizational collaboration with both internal and external partners
  • Various ad hoc tasks

ABOUT US

The Operations and Intensive area at Queen Ingrid's Hospital in Nuuk is at the core of care and treatment for critically ill patients throughout Greenland. We handle everything from surgeries to emergency evacuations and are proud to deliver high professional quality.

The area includes:

  • IMA – Intermediate Monitoring Section
  • ITA – Intensive Therapy Section with neonatal unit
  • Anesthesia with recovery
  • Surgical day unit, Operating department, and Sterilization center

Our dedicated team of 4 anesthesiologists, about 65 nurses, and 5 healthcare assistants work every day to ensure the best treatment for patients from all over Greenland. We also contribute to the healthcare system through coastal trips, where our operating and anesthesia nurses as well as doctors perform surgeries locally.

The Anesthesia department plays an important role in organizing and executing evacuation services from all over Greenland to Queen Ingrid's Hospital and further to hospitals in Denmark and Iceland.

Housing

Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Health Service at any given time.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Citizenship

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. A residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
