We are looking for an AC Officer or Special Consultant to strengthen the social efforts for vulnerable children, young people, and families. The position involves project management, analysis, and collaboration across the organization. You will contribute to the development of initiatives that make a difference.

About the position:

As an AC-Full-Mandate or Special Consultant, you will play a central role in the work of strengthening the social professional effort and contributing to a strong decision-making basis for the management and the political committee.

The staff is a central unit in the Department of Children and Family and plays an important role in the development of the social area. We support and service the municipality's family administrations and work closely together across the organization. As an employee in the staff, you will be part of a team where we take joint responsibility for delivering high quality and good service to our partners.


Your tasks

You will among other things be responsible for:

· Preparing analyses, surveys, and data foundations that support management and political decisions.

· Project management and coordination of cross-cutting development projects and internal improvement initiatives.

· Preparing notes, agendas, political case presentations, and other decision-making materials.

· Supporting the implementation of strategies, projects, and development efforts.

· Facilitating workshops, meetings, and interdisciplinary working groups.

· Contributing to the development and optimization of workflows and processes.

About the department:

You will be employed in the Staff of the Department of Children and Family. The staff consists of several professional groups, including financial controllers, secretarial staff, receptionists, and development/strategy staff. We have a culture characterized by collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mutual assistance during periods of high activity.

You will have close collaboration with the development manager and work closely with leaders and employees across the entire organization. Your tasks will span the entire municipality's child and family area, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of initiatives that make a real difference for children, young people, and families.


We expect that you have:

· A relevant higher education, e.g., cand.scient.pol., cand.soc., or another social science education.

· Experience with project management, analytical work, or development tasks.

· Experience from a politically governed organization will be an advantage.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police and the criminal certificate from the Police.


The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.


Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Greenland Self-Government, according to the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Greenland Self-Government and the relevant negotiating organization.


Employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.


Housing:

No staff housing can be assigned for the position.
