The ward at the Health Center receives patients for care, observation treatment, and rehabilitation. Patients may be admitted for shorter or longer periods due to medical, surgical, or psychiatric issues. The department has space for 18 patients distributed across several patient rooms.

You will need to perform basic care, support, and rehabilitation tasks as part of the team. The team consists of health helpers, health assistants, nurses, and the daily manager. In the team, everyone works based on the values: care, trust, respect, and professionalism.

We offer an academically exciting, developing, and challenging job as a Health Assistant at Maniitsoq Health Center. The position is 40 hours a week in rotating shifts.

Maniitsoq Health Center is part of the Health Region Qeqqa and has around 60 employees. The staff is distributed across the Health Center and the three associated nursing stations in the district's villages. The ward of the Health Center has space for 18 admitted patients of all ages. The department covers all specialties, including psychiatry. The nurses work day and evening shifts and are on call at night from their own homes - with a doctor on standby. Between 4:00 PM and 8:00 AM, the ward functions as an emergency room. The doctors in the medical consultation take turns treating and rounding on admitted patients in the department.

Additionally, the Center includes an outpatient clinic with medical consultation, radiology, laboratory, lifestyle function, nursing consultations, injury and reception function, "pharmacy," venereal and contraception clinic. The Health Center also includes the primary health service, which consists of maternity care, health visitor function, somatic and psychiatric home nursing, physiotherapy. A service department with cleaning, laundry, kitchen, technical support, portering, and ambulance driving.

Your primary tasks are:
