Are you socially educated and looking for experiences and are creative, you are exactly who we are looking for. We are looking for a social worker assistant, who is to start on September 1, 2026 or by further agreement.

The daycare “Tunguusaq” has a facility capacity of 44 places for 0-6 year olds. There are a total of 12 employees. And the leader is included in the number.

There are 4 daycares in Qaqortoq. And there is good cooperation between the institutions. Furthermore, they appreciate helping each other when there is a need.

Qaqortoq is a calm, beautiful town with educational opportunities. Various activities are organized throughout the year.

Your tasks and responsibilities in “Tunguusaq”:

• Management in the house in all respects, incl. administration.
• Ensure that the house rules are followed
• Active in parent cooperation
• Supervise pedagogical work and ongoing development
• Good at collaboration, mentally and physically strong.
• Able to set boundaries.
• Able to create colleague cohesion.
• Able to guide on problem-solving.
• Has an overview in stressful situations
• Has management experience
• Affectionate and engaged towards the children

Child certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has obtained a child certificate.

The child certificate is part of the decisive requirements in connection with the municipality's decision regarding who should be employed for the position.

Employment and salary are in accordance with the applicable agreement
