Mechanic, Nalunaq Gold Mine
We are looking for qualified and experienced mechanics to join our team at the Nalunaq mine's processing plant. This is a position with a shift rotation system in a remote area, which requires flexibility and strong technical skills to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of heavy machinery and processing equipment.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs of mining and processing equipment, including conveyors, crushers, pumps, and generators.
- Diagnose mechanical failures, troubleshoot, and ensure quick repairs to minimize downtime.
- Carry out preventive maintenance to extend the lifespan of machinery and ensure uninterrupted operation.
- Inspect, replace, and refurbish mechanical components and systems as needed.
- Collaborate with electrical and operations teams to ensure all machinery operates efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and time spent on maintenance tasks in accordance with company guidelines.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure that all equipment complies with local safety and environmental regulations.
- Participate in projects related to upgrading and installing equipment when necessary.
