A bit about Timmiaaqqat

We are an integrated institution, with 36 nursery children distributed across 3 rooms, 64 kindergarten children distributed across 4 rooms. Each room is assigned 1 educator, 1 child and social helper, and 1 assistant.

In addition, there is a kitchen assistant, helper, and cleaning lady.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police and the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

There will be the possibility of assigning staff housing for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in the Government of Greenland and the municipality's properties, etc. in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, temporary staff housing will be offered to employees entitled to vacant housing, for which rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the above. The start date is dependent on when there is staff housing available. A relocation travel and moving expenses are provided according to applicable rules.
