The nursing home Utoqqaat Illuat is looking for a dedicated activity assistant for our activity center Qanilaarfik.

About Qanilaarfik:

Qanilaarfik is a gathering place for pensioners, disabled individuals, and residents of the nursing home, where maintenance training, care, support, and social interaction are offered in collaboration with the users.

Job tasks:

∙Plan and implement various activities that stimulate, train, and inspire users and residents

∙Contribute to the development of the activity area based on the users' needs and wishes

∙Collaborate with the therapy team on planning training/gymnastics

∙Participate in care and support tasks around users who are referred to the day center

∙Prevent loneliness and support the users' quality of life

∙Collaborate with volunteers and colleagues in the house

∙Purchase activity materials in collaboration with the manager/deputy manager

∙Participate in meetings with staff and users

We are looking for an employee who:

∙Has preferably experience with activities in the elderly sector

∙Has preferably experience from interdisciplinary collaboration

∙Has creative or craft skills and interests

∙Has an interest in the elderly and disability sector

∙Is open, responsible, respectful, flexible, and cooperative

∙Can organize their work and initiate activities based on the users' needs

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in effect at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be with a 3-month probation period.

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
