The Greenlandic Health Service is seeking consultants/shift planners for the implementation of the shift planning system PDC-VagtPlan. The position involves advising, quality assurance, and development of shift plans. The workplace is in Nuuk, and the application must be submitted in PDF format.
Consultants/Scheduling Planners for the Greenlandic Health Service
The Greenlandic Health Service is in the process of implementing the scheduling system PDC-VagtPlan and is seeking consultants/scheduling planners with strong professional, digital, relational, and communicative skills.
You will have the opportunity to be part of building a new central function that will ensure uniform and quality-based scheduling across all of Greenland. As part of the central team, you will play an important role in both the implementation of PDC-VagtPlan and the subsequent operation, support, and further development of the scheduling area.
In the first part of the employment, you will be closely involved in the implementation of the system, including configuration, customization, and support of the individual departments' schedules. Once the system is operational, you will continue to have a central role in ensuring good use of PDC-VagtPlan, advising managers and local schedulers, as well as further developing workflows and solutions.
These are permanent positions with a workplace in Nuuk.
Your tasks will include:
- Contributing to the implementation of PDC-VagtPlan, including configuration, setup, and customization of the system to meet the needs of the individual departments
- Supporting the transition to new workflows and ensuring a good anchoring of the system in the organization
- Advising and supporting managers and local schedulers in the use of PDC-VagtPlan
- Quality assuring schedules and contributing to ensuring that working time regulations, agreements, and local contracts are adhered to
- Ensuring good use of data from scheduling so that managers have a better basis for making decisions about resources and capacity
- Preparing guidelines and teaching materials as well as conducting training as needed
- Contributing to the development and improvement of workflows, principles, and standards for scheduling
- Advising and collaborating with managers and leaders on complex scheduling issues
Scheduling is a core task in all departments, but at the same time a complex function where many considerations must be balanced. A good schedule ensures that patients meet the right staff with the right skills at the right time and place. At the same time, economy, operations, work environment, and employee well-being must be taken into account.
You thrive in a role where you create structure, find solutions, and support managers and employees in complex planning tasks. You are motivated by collaboration, advising, and being part of developing a central function in the Greenlandic Health Service.
We envision that you:
- Have experience with scheduling, preferably from a complex operational environment
- Have experience with electronic scheduling systems and preferably experience with PDC-VagtPlan or similar scheduling systems
- Have an interest in and preferably experience with configuring and customizing digital solutions
- Have an understanding of the relationship between scheduling, working time regulations, agreements, and operations
- Have good skills in planning, coordinating, and quality assurance
- Thrive on advising, teaching, and collaborating across the organization
- Work in a structured manner, independently, and with an eye for both details and the whole
- Are flexible regarding travel activity
It is an advantage if you:
- Have experience from the healthcare sector
- Have experience with implementation or further development of digital systems
- Have experience supporting users and super users in the use of digital solutions
- Have knowledge of working time regulations and agreements
