The Municipality of Sermersooq is looking for a teacher for the school in Kapisillit for all school subjects. We are looking for a positive, engaged, and seminar-trained teacher who can participate in a development-oriented school environment and collaborate with colleagues, management, and parents.

The Municipality of Sermersooq needs a teacher for the municipality's school in Kapisillit for all school subjects.

Are you passionate about learning and a good childhood? Do you have an overview and can you catch your own, but also other "balls in the air" and still smile – then maybe you are exactly the ONE we are looking for as a teacher for our village school in Kapisillit.

There are 2 students at the school, who are in the youngest and middle grades. With the help of iPads, some subjects are taught remotely from one of the urban schools.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/contract in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

Housing can be provided for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the rules for rent payment in the Government of Greenland and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If permanent housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, temporary housing will be offered to employees entitled to vacation housing, for which rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the above. The start date is dependent on when there is housing available. A relocation travel allowance and moving expenses will be provided according to applicable rules.
